Ezekiel (Zeke) Cramer, 19 years old.
Zeke Cramer learned to ride a bike at the age of 2 back in the days of training wheels, but it didn’t take him long to ditch those in order to ride fast. He began his racing career in XC with the Estes Park MTB Team through the Colorado High School Cycling League and NICA. Zeke raced all four years of high school, qualifying for State every year, and finishing as a Legacy Rider.
As a freshman at Western Colorado University, Zeke joined the Western Mountain Sports Mountain Bike Team and switched riding styles to Downhill and Dual Slalom. Upon racing in collegiate races in Downhill and Dual Slalom, Zeke quickly moved up a class after every race – from C to B to the top level of A racer.
He qualified for the 2018 Collegiate National MTB Championship in Downhill and Dual Slalom. Zeke finished Men’s Downhill as the 3rd fastest freshman rider in the nation. Based on his finish times at Collegiate Nationals and after finishing 3rd at the second race of the Bootleg Canyon Race Series, in March 2019, Zeke received his Pro License. Zeke then competed in Pro Downhills throughout the year until receiving his first pro Podium in March of 2020.
Zeke has been training hard all summer and will be competing again in Downhill and Dual Slalom at Western Colorado University with sights set at being the fastest collegiate downhill racer in 2021.
When he is not on his bike, which is rare, Zeke is a passionate environmentalist, studying Environment & Sustainability and Ecology at Western Colorado University. In addition, he is an avid snowboarder and backcountry split boarder, fly fisherman, skateboarder, and knows how to make the perfect woodfired pizza.
